Assistance Dogs

An assistance dog is trained to give support to disabled people.

These dogs are trained for ten months after which they enter a coupling period in which they learn how to work with its future guide.

Even though these dogs are given up for free, the cost of raising and training one of these dogs amounts to far over 15,000€, It is the foundation and its sponsors that assume de the costs of preparing these dogs.

These dogs are specifically trained to aid blind or deaf people, or to help people with physical disabilities by fetching objects for them, pulling wheelchairs, switching lights, opening doors, tugging them in bed and many other skills that are trained into them. The ultimate objective of training these dogs is to enhance the quality of the user´s life by giving them physical and emotional support.
